I love the feeling of being loved, don't you? And since my blog sometimes reveals the parts of me that aren't always loveable, I feel especially loved to have received an award for it!
My friend and sister in Christ, Sara Harricharan, awarded "A work in progress" the Fabulous Blog Award! I myself am in awe of Sara, who is probably half my age but is miles ahead of me in many areas. Get to know her a bit at In Shades of Scarlet
The rules of this award are as follows: Confess 5 things I am addicted to and then to pass on this award to 5 other sisters. Sooo, here goes.
1. I am addicted to reading. I would be content to just sit and read for the rest of my life. I've often read most of the night away and staggered sleepless through work the next day because of the "just one more chapter" syndrome.
2. I'm addicted to my laptop, and I guess the internet too. Ok, definitely too. My laptop is constantly on so I can check my email at the drop of a hat. I'm trying this year to spend my computer time less frivously, but I find non-frivolous things to do of course. Scripture study, research, graphic searches for my job, writing, photoshopping. I love my laptop. And it keeps my lap warm too. :)
3. My husband, of course. I can't stand to be apart from him overnight. I want him by my side night and day and I never tire of his company.
4. Learning. I love to learn. I NEED to learn. How things work, why things happened, what things mean, where things come from. Another reason I love my laptop and the net - the answers to most of my questions can be found with a few keystrokes & clicks.
5. Getting to know God. (Connected in part to #4 above) I "hunger and thirst" for knowlege and understanding of His Will and His Word and His Love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
And now [drumroll please] I pass the Fabulous Blog Award on to 5 deserving sisters.
Patty Wysong (Peej) at Patterings. Peej gleans amazing insight from the little things in life, and shares her insights elequently and transparently.
Kristen Schiffer at {dancing} in the margins. Kristen writes with passion and giddiness, and makes me want to dance through life with her
Laura Shaw at LauraLee's Lifesong. Sometimes I wonder if she has a microphone in my heart listening to it cry out. I love reading her devotions.
Stina Rose at Scroll Bag. Stina's innocence and love for life are pleasing to discover as I read about this and that in her life.
Sara Harricharan (yes, I know, she awarded me) but I'm awarding her blog "Fiction Fusion". Sara creates awesomely real characters and scarily real worlds. When she's a kazillionaire famous author, I'll be able to say "I knew her when". :)
Thank you Sara, and thank you all my readers. I hope you'll take time to check out the blogs I think are fabulous (if you aren't already reading them - the are fabulous so I wouldn't be surprised.)
God Bless
